Fly In Formation 142 - Deuce Fantastick
Edmonton emcee Deuce Fantastick is back for another round on Episode 142 which happened to line up for live streaming on June 2, 2026. Last time we talked, we were talking about the second in the “Billion Dollar Dreams” series in 2024. This time we’re updating the situation and fast forwarding to to the third instalment, “The Past”. We talked about how The Past a bit of an ironic title for an album featuring production and vocals from two of his kids, as well as the same thing I’ve been asking other dad emcees lately - are they worried about their teenagers opinions on their music? We also talked about the evolution of a dream; and chasing a trillion, public perception of the ultra rich be damned. We talked about the Edmonton scene and the need for unity in the push to build a scene. We talked about a lot in the hour - I cut the talk off right on schedule at the hour mark because I’d been feeling off all day as the weather here shifted and pressure zones swapped up, but I’m glad we made this one happen and I’m looking forward to hearing the stream of music that Deuce promised is on the way, even after Billion Dollar Dreams: Vol 3 - The Past drops on Aug 1 (you heard that here first).
The last two albums in the series have demonstrated Deuces versatility and range in subject material. If you haven’t been tapped in paying attention, I’ll embed his catalog below. The guys been dope since he was slanging mixtapes in WEM as part of Peep Game, and he’s evolved into a dynamic, engaging song writer since taking the solo spotlight for the current era of his career. His ambition matches his talent, and that’s a combo that with consistency like this, deserves results. I wish him continued success.
