Jimmy Burnett called in from his gig up north at some work camp to talk Hip Hop with me, and we got into his history running around rapping on Whyte Ave as Jimmy Rhythm, finding his focus and embracing it in 2019, his 2 albums since then, and a bunch of opinions on the indie grind as a rapper/producer. He also broke the news that he’s got a new album titled “A Place in This World” coming April 6, complete with a release show that same day in Edmonton at The Dive Bar on Jasper Ave.
