Fresh Kils is just dope as hell. He’s made himself a name with his sample based production and performances. In a world focused on short form content, tapping the sampler has to be one of the most well suited skill sets to possess. I asked him about his recent solo album, the string of albums he’s produced for other artists, his recent “Monopoly Money Tour,” and a bunch more. He really classed the place up with his glass of wine, and I think he might have made himself the first artists who’s been openly drinking on the show. I’ve had beers on earlier episodes, but this one I stuck with coffee. It was a great talk and Kils seemed like a great guy. I’ll definitely be stopping in to shake hands when he comes through Lethbridge May 3, when he’s playing at The Owl on the same bill as upcoming (and past) Fly in Formation guest Javier Escuela.
