Fly In Formation - Epic
For episode 103 I talked with Handsolo Records representative Epic about his new collabo project with Montreal beat maker The Deadly Stare. We broke down some of the lyrics that stood out to me, the creative process from writing to recording, aging and evolving, recording in libraries, a white guys role in Hip Hop, speaking for the community, battle rap, staying out of America, and a lot of other important stuff.
Hit follow on Youtube and Twitch, I dream of one day having 1000 followers and being able to monetize this show, but it’s still a long road to get there.
Listen to the audio only version of this episode exclusively at https://www.mixcloud.com/doobyis - where you will also find ongoing weekly mixes of 100% Canadian new release Hip Hop on my show "After the Smoke Is Clear" (#ATSIC) - each episode is followed by an interview with an artist, tap in and support the scene.
These interviews happen Tuesdays on Twitch - come by and catch them live! Listen to the audio only version of Fly in Formation - attached after an hour long mix of new indie rap on After the Smoke is Clear at https://www.mixcloud.com/doobyis. The audio from this one will be due up after episode 618.
Everyone’s welcome to drop in for the live streams on Twitch, say what’s up, or suggest a question to the guest. If it’s a good one, I might even pretend I thought of it myself.
