Fly In Formation 128 - Asun Eastwood & Lord Juco

For episode 128 two of my favourites returned to the program, Asun Eastwood & Lord Juco are two Toronto emcees making densely layered lyrical boom bap that goes beyond the surface. We talked about their new collabo album “2 Birds”, the inspiration and creation, the reception, and the upcoming vinyl release and continued promotion. We also spoke about the Toronto scene, the Canadian identity, accessing American audiences, the importance of aesthetic in todays game, and a bunch of other important stuff.

Hit follow on Youtube and Twitch. One day maybe I’ll hit 1000 followers and be able to monetize this show, but it’s still a long road to get there. Twitch subscriptions help keep the lights on, and you get a free one if you link your Amazon Prime to you your Twitch account, so use that to support your favourite streamer each month.

Listen to the audio only version of this episode exclusively at https://www.mixcloud.com/doobyis - where you will also find ongoing weekly mixes of 100% Canadian new release Hip Hop on my show "After the Smoke Is Clear" (#ATSIC) - each episode is followed by an interview with an artist, tap in and support the scene.

These interviews happen Tuesdays on  Twitch - come by and catch them live, or watch them a couple days later on Youtube.
