Fly In Formation 121 - D-Sisive

On episode 121 I added an extra date onto the end of the Season 3 schedule to accommodate one more talk. Canadian Icon Derek Christoff aka D-Sisive was on camera to talk about his history in Toronto’s scene, his ups and downs that led to several distinct eras through his career, pairing comedy with introspection and heavy topics, evolving after battle rap, Urbnet, the HHC forums, his upcoming cartoon series Little Fat Derek from Northcliffe (which is being announced for the first time here, sound the horns!), and a bunch of other import stuff.

Hit follow on Youtube and Twitch. One day maybe I’ll hit 1000 followers and be able to monetize this show, but it’s still a long road to get there. Twitch subscriptions help keep the lights on, and you get a free one if you link your Amazon Prime to you your Twitch account, so use that to support your favourite streamer each month.

Listen to the audio only version of this episode exclusively at https://www.mixcloud.com/doobyis - where you will also find ongoing weekly mixes of 100% Canadian new release Hip Hop on my show "After the Smoke Is Clear" (#ATSIC) - each episode is followed by an interview with an artist, tap in and support the scene.

These interviews happen Tuesdays on  Twitch - come by and catch them live, or watch them a couple days later on Youtube.

Tell a friend who likes Hip Hop about the show if you think they’d enjoy this kind of content. Pushing Canadian Hip Hop to the masses isn’t easy!

FiF interviews stream every Tuesday until Dec 2, live on Twitch - Season 4 starts Jan 6 with a return guest and fan favourite, Junk!

Also, check out the After the Smoke is Clear archives for hour-long mixes covering the best new Hip Hop across Canada. New episodes drop Mondays and/or Thursdays. It’s the only place you can catch the Fly in Formation interviews in audio form, so I suggest getting the free Mixcloud app.

If you want to support monetarily, the best way is buying my music or dropping a donation here.

Thanks for checking in.
