Fly In Formation - Chadio & The Gumshoe Strut
For episode 108, I rebooted season 3 for another run of weekly episodes, starting with an extended chat with West coast emcee Chadio and Winnipeg (or close by) producer The Gumshoe Strut. They’ve got a new album out now on Handsolo Records called Root Sellers, which I highly recommend if you’re into laid back everyman style raps and chill sampled beats. Both of these guys have had long runs in the Canadian rap scene, working with a lot of different artists and labels - so we went into the history for a while. Of course I also had some questions about bars from the new album, as well as Chadio’s recent glow up and move to a new house in Kamloops, blunt wrap preferences, Spotify stealing everyone’s music to train it’s AI to replace us, Japanese fashion hauls, what’s up next from both artists, and a bunch of other important stuff.
