Fly In Formation - Junk
For episode 107, I closed out the first half of the season talking with Vancouver emcee Junk! We talked about his newest projects "No Water in Hell Vol 2" & "Together In Pieces 4" with Starkore. This was the first overseas edition, as Junk called in from Germany to chop it up mid way through a European tour that's part of an extended stay on the other side of the pond. We got into all that, his label, his evolution as an artist journeying beyond battle raps, and a bunch of other important stuff.
Hit follow on Youtube and Twitch, I dream of one day having 1000 followers and being able to monetize this show, but it’s still a long road to get there.
Listen to the audio only version of this episode exclusively at https://www.mixcloud.com/doobyis - where you will also find ongoing weekly mixes of 100% Canadian new release Hip Hop on my show "After the Smoke Is Clear" (#ATSIC) - each episode is followed by an interview with an artist, tap in and support the scene.
These interviews happen Tuesdays on Twitch - I’ll be back to weekly episodes in September - come by and catch them live! Listen to the audio only version of Fly in Formation - attached after an hour long mix of new indie rap on After the Smoke is Clear at https://www.mixcloud.com/doobyis. The audio from this one will be due up after an episode soon.
Everyone’s welcome to drop in for the live streams on Twitch, say what’s up, or suggest a question to the guest. If it’s a good one, I might even pretend I thought of it myself.
