New release Canadian Hip Hop that dropped on or before Aug 15, 2025.

Another recap of the new releases in Hip Hop from across Canada. Plenty will be good, some will be bad - sorting through them is part of the fun. The tracks I like the most get bought and played on ATSIC.

I pay as much attention to the national scene as I can, but if I’m missing something, let me know. I can’t vouch for everything on this list, it’s just a round up of everything that drops, so listening through and deciding what I like and dislike is part of the fun. I do remove a few tracks as I go through, these playlists always start with more music than they end with. I try not to be too judgmental, and keep in mind that I’m not always the target audience. I also know that artists who make a song I dislike might make a song I do like the next week. I appreciate artists who release a lot of music, and never want to dissuade anyone from putting their works into the world. I’m not trying to gate-keep anything. Everyone should like what they like, I’m just picking what I like and promoting that in an effort to build the scene and appreciation for it.

This week I listened as I gamed, but there wasn’t a lot of critique or reacting to the songs, just furious gaming, talking with my fellow gamers, and song after song as a soundtrack. That’s posted below. Some weeks I just chill and listen though, you never know.
