Rounding out the month with another collection of new drops from the world of Canadian Hip Hop. I’m running around doing things this month, so won’t likely hit Twitch to listen to these again this week. Back to that soon I think though. For now, I hope you find some music you like, and I hope when you hear the awful songs that are no doubt included in this playlist, you laugh and hit skip with a swiftness. As sure as I am that there are going to be some clunkers in here, I’m also sure there’ll be a bunch of stuff worth digging for. I love this game.
I pay as much attention to the national scene as I can, but if I’m missing something, let me know. I can’t vouch for everything on this list, it’s just a round up of everything that drops, so listening through and deciding what I like and dislike is part of the fun. I do remove a few tracks as I go through, these playlists always start with more music than they end with. I try not to be too judgmental, and keep in mind that I’m not always the target audience. I also know that artists who make a song I dislike might make a song I do like the next week. I appreciate artists who release a lot of music, and never want to dissuade anyone from putting their works into the world. I’m not trying to gate-keep anything. Everyone should like what they like, I’m just picking what I like and promoting that in an effort to build the scene and appreciation for it.
